FAQs

Is naturopathic medicine covered by my insurance?

Naturopathic medicine is not covered by Alberta Health Services (AHS) but is often covered by extended healthcare benefits. Many of our patients with extended healthcare benefits have coverage for 40-100% of visit fees. We recommend that you call your extended healthcare benefits provider prior to your visit to figure out what your coverage is. We also provide direct billing services to reduce your out-of-pocket cost and take care of the hassle of insurance paperwork for you.

What type of diagnostic testing will be ordered?

We use a combination of standard blood tests and in-depth specialized testing to help get to the root of your health concerns. In-depth specialized testing can include SIBO breath testing, salivary cortisol testing, and comprehensive stool tests.

Do you work with pregnant people? What about newborns?

Yes and yes! If you are pregnant, I often work in conjunction with your maternity care provider (midwife or OB) to provide you the best care possible. I also provide care for newborns to help with reflux, feeding difficulties, constipation, fussiness, gas, and food intolerances.

Can I be your patient if I do not live in Calgary?

Yes! As long as you are an Alberta resident, you can be my patient. I offer virtual visits via secure telehealth video for those of you live outside of Calgary or prefer to be seen in the comfort of your home.
